Interest from bank or post office deposit 30%
Long term capital gains from equity shares, equity oriented mutual funds Nil
Short term capital gains from equity shares, equity oriented mutual funds 15%
Long term capital gains from notified bonds and GDRs 10%
Any other long term capital gains 20%
Interest from Infrastructure Debt Fund 5%
Investment income from foreign exchange assets 20%
Interest earned on money borrowed in foreign currency 20%
Winning from lottery or crossword puzzle or card game, horse races 30%
Fees for technical services or royalty, u/s 115A 30% if agreement made before 31-5-1997; 20% between 1-6-1997 and 31-5-2005; 10% after 31-5-2005
Any other income 30%

If tax liability would be lower than TDS rate, NRI can submit Tax Exemption Certificate to concerned tax deductor.
